Ethio-ShiRAD Inc. builds community resilience by mobilizing collective action to advance sustainable development, environmental justice, and community well-being.


About Us

Ethio-ShiRAD Inc. is a Silver Spring–based, not-for-profit, non-partisan, secular, and multicultural organization dedicated to strengthening communities through environmental education, sustainable development, and capacity building.

We work primarily with immigrant and underserved communities, faith-based institutions, and public schools to promote environmental protection, climate awareness, and responsible resource management. Through culturally responsive and bilingual (Amharic and English) programming, we connect everyday actions to healthier neighborhoods, resilient communities, and protected watersheds, including the Chesapeake Bay.
